A superb example of the Seiko Lord Matic 5606-7320, an increasingly sought-after model from Seiko's Lord Matic collection and an excellent representation of the refined Japanese mechanical watchmaking of the early 1970s.

Finished with its original green sunburst dial, the watch displays a rich metallic gradient that shifts beautifully in changing light. The applied faceted hour markers, sharp hands and crisp printed detailing give the dial a sophisticated, understated character, while the 36mm stainless steel case offers a classic vintage proportion with surprisingly strong wrist presence.

The Lord Matic collection was positioned above Seiko's standard ranges, combining higher-quality mechanical movements with more sophisticated styling and finishing. The 5606-7320 is particularly appealing for collectors thanks to its clean angular case design, distinctive faceted crystal and original Seiko beads-of-rice bracelet with LM-signed clasp.

Powering the watch is Seiko's dependable Calibre 5606A automatic movement, with 23-jewels and a movement renowned for its compact construction and smooth operation. Presented in very good vintage condition, with light signs of age consistent with a watch from 1973.

• Stainless steel case retains its sharp brushed and polished surfaces, with only light handling marks to the lugs and sides.
• Original acrylic crystal has minor surface scratches and slight distortion when viewed from an angle, but no cracks or chips.
• Stainless steel screw-back shows more noticeable surface scratching and light scuffing from previous removal. All reference and case markings remain fully legible.
• Original Seiko stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet remains in good order, with light surface wear and minor darkening between links consistent with age.
